Elegant Mahogany Dining Table

This item has been sold

This super elegant, solid mahogany dining table needed a whole new style. I accomplished that by adding a matte gray finish on the top, and a bright white on the legs and skirt.  Now it leans more towards a farmhouse chic style than a traditional style.  The chairs and bench were finished out to match.

This cute little side table was screaming out for a modern update. The old look was right at home in your grandparent’s house. But the new, lighter color scheme will look perfect in any modern home. I added a pale taupe paint and whitewashed. The drawer pull was updated with glossy jet black paint.

Set of 6 antique mahogany chairs

IMG_7350
This is a set of 6 antique mahogany chairs with upholstered seats. I’m not going to lie…..these have seen better days. But I’m going to fix these up and breathe some new life back into them and with any luck they’ll be around for another 100+ years!

There’s 1 captain’s chair with arms, and 5 chairs without arms.

Vintage captain’s chair

This item has been sold IMG_7134
This vintage mahogany captain’s chair was updated with Powdered Snow paint, and a sheer silver metallic glaze. The glaze adds just a hint of gray, to tie it in with the gray and white Braemore fabric. It would be perfect in front of your vanity table, your desk, or even sitting in the corner of your dining room.

Round Mahogany Side Table

Vintage mahogany side table. Lots of beautiful details on this one. This shade of yellow is perfect….it’ll add a subtle pop of color, but can also read as a neutral for those of us who are sc’rd by color.  The light distressing makes the fancy details stand out.  It would work perfectly in so many rooms…..in the living room as an end table, in the bedroom as a nightstand, or even in the babies’ room, next to your rocker!

Vintage Mahogany Coffee Table

As soon as I saw this coffee table I knew I had to rescue it from it’s misery. It had definitely been well loved…..a weird paint finish…nail polish…sparkles. You name it, this coffee table had it. But I can see through all that. I see the pretty details….the brass casters…and the quality.  I sanded it all down smooth, gave it a creamy taupe paint job, added a hint of glaze, and finished it off with an espresso stain on the top.  Perfection!

Square Mahogany Ottoman

This square mahogany ottoman has a nice thick cushion on top. The fabric had seen better days but now it’s the best looking ottoman on the block!  I gave it a bright white paint job (with a hint of distressing), and a vibrant punch of color with the yellow and white fabric. I can think of so many uses for this little gem….relax and put your feet upon it, use it as extra seating when friends stop by, or even a great seat for your makeup table. But I think it would look SO perfect in a nursery!

I was SO excited to get my hands on another Duncan Phyfe style table. If you recall, I did another one, for a customer, a couple of months ago. It came out so gorgeous, and I got so many requests for it, that I’ve been on the lookout for another one ever since. And yesterday was my lucky day…..found this baby on Craigslist. Phenomenal!

Mahogany chairs - with gray paint & light distressing

These chairs are another customer order, from the great couple that I just finished the Duncan Phyfe table for . They’d been buried under layers and layers of paint for years.  Really. Ugly. Paint.  With a flat finish at that. Yuck. I could just picture how gorgeous they were going to look around that table, when they’re finished. Can’t you? This is the vibe we were going for…..and I think we nailed it!

The chairs got a gorgeous coat of medium gray paint in a satin finish, a little light distressing around the edges, and I finished up with a clear coat of wax to seal them.
