Country Farm Table

CreamCountryTable
My customer’s table was a great size for her breakfast nook, but the table had some deep scratches across the top, and the leaf was a completely different color. I filled the scratches, and then color matched it to her existing dining chairs.

Small maple table

Beautiful, simple, modern…..that’s what I see when I look at this rectangular maple table. I can picture it in a breakfast area, a craft room, a playroom (for homework!!), or even as a desk. My customer requested a pale gray paint (just a tiny hint of it), and a dark top. The results were incredible. I painted her chairs to match and then reupholstered the seat cushions with a classic stripe, gray & white fabric.  It’s the perfect size for her small breakfast area!

Rock Maple Captain’s Chairs

This item has been soldIMG_9973
This was a major score. A set of 2 captain’s chairs in super heavy rock maple. Overall they’re in great shape. A few scratches and nicks….the downside was really the fabric. The foam beneath the fabric felt hard and crumbly to the touch. And when I finally removed the 2 layers of hideous fabric I discovered that the foam had completely disintegrated and turned to sand. Blech!

Whitewashed butcherblock table

This item has been sold IMG_7397This is a solid maple, butcher block style table.  I whitewashed it to give it a very cottage, beachey vibe.  The skirt and legs were warmed up with a very taupey gray paint.  Now it just needs a little sand underneath!

Maple nightstand

This item has been sold MapleNightstandI really wish you could see the pretty color of this solid maple nightstand.  It’s a super soft blueish-green, but the addition of the mocha glaze makes it look a little white in the pics.  I distressed the edges, just lightly, wear you would normally get a little wear n’ tear over the years.  And the whole piece was waxed, to give it a nice soft sheen.  New pulls and knobs brings the style into the new millennium!

Rock Maple table with 4 chairs

This item has been soldimage

Solid rock maple kitchen or dining room table. If you’re looking for a super solid, durable table to withstand years of hard use, then this is the table for you.  The legs are a glossy, light gray.  For the top I did a paint wash, which is a mix of part water, part paint. This gave it just the right shade of gray, so you can still see the beautiful wood. The set of 4 matching chairs have been updated with the same paint as the table base, new foam and designer fabric in the same gray tones. All pieces are solid wood, which is hard to find these days!

Maple coffee & end table set

This item has been sold IMG_7170
Gorgeous, solid wood coffee table and end table set. Really pretty details on the legs. They started with a horrible orangey polyurethaned finish, but I transformed them with a pale greenish blue paint from Behr called Frozen Pond.  The tops got a dark walnut stain topped with polycrylic for durability.

Maple butcher block table

This item has been soldMaple butcher block tableYou’ve probably seen a million of these tables in your lifetime right? Or owned at least one.  I know I have.  I just wish, before I got rid of mine, I had taken the time to make it look like this! How great would this look in a beach house?! It goes with so many decors.  Beachey, shabby chic, cottage.  This would even look great with some upholstered benches on either side. Or what about a craft room table….a desk….so many possibilities.

When I found this it had that orangey golden tone all over, that polyurethane gets with age.  So it was all stripped down to bare wood.  The top got a driftwood colored stain.  And the base got one of my favorites, ColorPlace, by Sherwin Williams-Quaint Village Green.  I’m not really sure why they call it green because it’s much more of a blue shade.  It totally reminds me of beach glass…watery blue with a tiny hint of green.
