Jenny Lind style nightstand

I’m in love. Why oh why did someone drop this awesome vintage table off at the Goodwill store??? But I’m oh so glad they did. Score another one for me. I think it’s probably meant to be a foyer table, or even an end table, but I think it would make the perfect nightstand.

The Emma Spindle Bedside table, from Pottery Barn (no longer available), totally reminds me of this table. Simple. With beatiful legs.

Here are some other, great spindle tables. I’m loving the painted look but I’m thinking mine might stay with the original stain on the bottom, and just paint the top, after fixing all the scratches, etc. Keep it a little rustic…..

This table was in such great shape that it really didn’t need too much tweaking. There was a section of the top broken off, which, after some wood glue in a few strategic places, and a little sanding, now looks fantastic. But because of the problems with the top I couldn’t do my favorite fix, which is staining on top, and paint on the bottom. So instead, I reversed it. A little pale taupe paint on top, and the base was left in it’s natural state.

It’s the perfect size for a foyer, for an end table, or even as a nightstand. A little shabby chic, a touch of vintage, with a hint of Pottery Barn thrown in.
