For this project I had to break out the wood bleach. I’d never used it before, but the oak top had so many large, black, water stains that I decided to give it a shot. Otherwise I would’ve had to resort to painting the top to cover it. And luckily it worked like a charm. After about a dozen or so coats of bleach, the black stains were gone! Once that problem was solved this just needed some sanding, priming, painting, staining and sealing. The usual! Plus, I swapped out the dated pull on the faux drawer and picked a modern, sleek, oil rubbed bronze cup pull. And then added some light distressing to give it that broken in look. Now it’s gorgeous!
