I’ll be honest, this very rustic nightstand had some issues with it when I found it. The chalk paint finish on the legs felt, well…..chalky. The sides were starting to split a bit. And the top had some nail pops. In my world, none of those things are necessarily horrible. But there was definitely room for improvement!
After fixing the issues, I repainted the legs and skirt with a bright white. The top got a coat of a pale gray chalk paint. I then distressed the entire piece, then added some polyacrylic to the top, for a bit of added durability. Now this would make the perfect addition to a bedroom, or even holding your keys and mail next to the front door.
