Vintage drop leaf sideboard
Antique oak foyer table
Such a beautiful, gorgeously detailed piece of furniture. Just look at all those details, everywhere you look! I had an inspiration for the look of this piece….a beautiful foyer cabinet I had just seen.
The base got 4 coats of bright white semi-gloss paint, and the top was stripped down to it’s natural state. The entire piece got a coating of clear wax, to add extra durability. And last but not least, I left the original pulls because I love that wonderful patina. So pretty!

Oak foyer table
This great oak table spent it’s former life as a TV stand. I saw it as being something even better though. So it got sanded down and painted a semi-gloss bright white, and new oil rubbed bronze hardware was added. Now, it would make a gorgeous table in a foyer, where you could drop your keys and mail; or maybe a sideboard in a dining room; or even a changing table in the baby’s room – there’s TONS of storage underneath for diapers, sheets, etc. It even has a roomy drawer up top. If everything had gone as planned, this table would also have had an amazing piece of gray marble on top, with a little bit of white veining. Vintage drop leaf table
This vintage drop leaf table was in rough shape when I found it. It had layers and layers of sticky varnish on it that had to be painstakingly sanded down. After all that back-breaking prep work I painted the top a really pretty, neutral taupe. And the legs got a high gloss black.
It’s not too big – it’ll fit perfect in a small dining room, a kitchen, or even a breakfast nook. Leave the ends up and you have a great family table. Fold them down and it becomes a kitchen island, or a dining room sideboard.
