I saw a really great antiqued finish on a console table at Homegoods recently and I knew I wanted to duplicate it. This coffee & end table set was the perfect choice to try it on.

Vintage Curio Cabinet
This amazing piece is a family heirloom. But one, unfortunately, that looked so dated my customer had no place in her home that that she wanted to display it. The solution? A pale gray blue paint, with distressed edges, and covered with a dry brushed glaze to make it look aged.

Pine End Table
This little beauty didn’t need much. It’s solid wood, and very sturdy. But the orange stain really needed to go. I updated it with a bright white (Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace), highlighted the details with gray glaze, and then lightly distressed the edges. Now you don’t have to worry so much when your 4 year runs his toys into it over and over again. He’ll be adding to the patina!

Bombay Foyer Table
I’m in love with this little entry foyer table, with it’s rope legs, and pineapple details. I chose Teal Lake for it, after using this color on a recent Custom Order and loving it! I knew that some mocha glaze layered on top would really make the details stand out. This would be perfect in your entry foyer, in a hallway or maybe even a nightstand in your guest bedroom.

Maple nightstand
I really wish you could see the pretty color of this solid maple nightstand. It’s a super soft blueish-green, but the addition of the mocha glaze makes it look a little white in the pics. New pulls and knobs brings the style into the new millennium!

1980s Brass Lamps – Set of 2
I definitely don’t miss 80s styles, but I do miss the quality of some home decor items – like these (formerly) brassy lamps. They’re super solid (won’t tip!), and made to last. And now, with a new modern paint job, they’ll fit right into your 2015 decor. I think I’m having a flashback…..I can see some version of these in every one of my friends’ houses growing up!

Vintage Mahogany Coffee Table
As soon as I saw this coffee table I knew I had to rescue it from it’s misery. It had definitely been well loved…..a weird paint finish…nail polish…sparkles. You name it, this coffee table had it. But I can see through all that. I see the pretty details….the brass casters…and the quality. I sanded it all down smooth, gave it a creamy taupe paint job, added a hint of glaze, and finished it off with an espresso stain on the top. Perfection!
